Why does my tooth only hurt sometimes?

Have you ever had a tooth that only hurts if you bite on it a certain way?  If so, you may be suffering from "Fractured tooth syndrom"   or "Cracked tooth Syndrom".  The reason for the odd pain is that the pain to pressure only occurs when a force is directed over the crack in the tooth.  This can be very difficult to diagnose since most of the cracks are so small that they are invisible.

How can we find it?  There are methods to attempt to locate the fracture.  The key is to find it early enough to be able to treat it. In many cases if left untreated, tooth lose can occur.

In most cases, early detection minimizes future treatment and discomfort.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions regarding any vague dental pain.
